Public lectures

B and I have just discovered public lectures as a way to follow up her interests. Last night we went to a lecture on Pompeii at the Australian National University, which was really fascinating. So I did a bit of googling to see what other things might be available where we are. To start with, we have decided to check out the Canberra Archaeological Society's program of monthly guest lectures. As far as I can tell it means we have to join, but I'll give them a call and find out.

I'm looking forward to being able to share more of these with B now that she's old enough to appreciate them. I went to a few with my Dad when I was a teen and I have fond memories of feeling very grown up :lol
