What's an essential item in your pantry? Do you have things you just can't do without? List the 15 most essential ingredients in your pantry.

Mine would be:

1. Coconut oil
2. Rice
3. Lentils
4. Honey
5. Wholemeal flour
6. Cacao
7. Crackers
8. Nut butter of some description
9. Spices (salt, pepper, cumin, cinnamon and paprika get the most use, but I have lots)
10. Bicarb
11. Baking powder
12. Potatoes, onions
13. Garlic
14. Chickpeas
15. Pasta

Oh, I love threads like these :) I'll have to ponder my list a bit more but it would include tins of tomatoes, lentils, rice, coconut cream, sugar, honey, flour...

Tins! - beans, toms, fruit, coconut milk. Curry paste, sugar(s), flour(s), rice(s), lentil(s), noodles - buckwheat and rice vermicelli in particular; vanilla, cocoa, cereal, dried fruit, potatoes, onions, garlic.

Um, I think that's more than 15 and I haven't added spices, herbs, milo, ....

I need a BIG pantry.

4. Balsamic vinegar
5. Extra virgin olive oil
6. Tinned tomatoes
7. Coconut cream
8. Rice noodles
9. Pasta
10. Tinned corn
11. Various rices (Arborio, white, brown etc)
12. Bicarb
13. Flour
14. Baking powder
15. Sugar

I missed tinned tomatoes and coconut cream :lol. I also deleted chickpeas and chai as I was running out of room. Maybe I should have made it 20? :lol

6. Tin of lentils for emergency use in pasta sauce
7. Tin of chick peas for emergency hommous drought
8. Spices - lots and lots
9. Butter beans for korma (mmmmmmm)
10. Coconut milk for korma (mmmmmmm)

12. Flour (plain, self raising, wholemeal, wholemeal self raising)
