View Full Version : Registration - Program of study
I've been reading through the NSW Home Education Info package tonight and am wondering how all you natural learners and unschoolers document a program of study? Do you set specific goals/expectations or do you describe a plan to follow your child's interests (and is this sufficient?) or something else?
Getting into the nitty-gritty of it, it all seems somewhat absurd.

What age are you writing for?
My program of study for the early years stressed the opportunities that I was planning to expose B to, and the resources we had available. I added absolutely EVERYTHING I could think of - it made an impressive list :lol Since I wasn't unschooling in the beginning I probably had some bullcrap in there about seatwork, but even then it was pretty darn casual!
Planning faaarrr into the future - for 6 yo onwards (still plenty of time since DS1 is not yet 5 - but I like to be prepared :) ).
I like the sound of what you did! I guess that's actually not that far removed from a curriculum - since it's a list of opportunities and experiences rather than guaranteed outcome.
I might start compiling a list and post it here.
Thanks B!

I don't have anything earlier than 9yo on this computer, unfortunately, or I'd add some of mine.
