If you wanna know about them ask away. The big one is laying eggs like mad at the moment, I have photos of them too if you're interested.

They're alive?! :shock Far out, they're fantastic but I'm not a bug person I'm afraid :lol So what are they? And where did you get them from?

The two big ones are from the museum, the little one is too but it came as a egg and hatched! (sorry I cut it's head off :lol)

I'm not a bug person either - trust me - but these have their own little personalities, they've grown on me :shrug:cool

Our next door neighbour had some stick insects like these and I attempted to hold one, remembering how much I liked bugs when I was little. Well, I freaked out when it started walking on me and dropped it. How embarrassment :oops

She really looks happy :)

They're excellent! I AM a bugs person! I saw one like the large tan coloured one at our local show. It was awesome, the way it moved, intrigued. What are they called again?

The big fat brown one, and the little green one are spiny leaf insects, the stick like one is a Titan.

She is happy .... and silly :lol

How glorious! DP found a stick insect yesterday. It was so tiny it had to be a baby. It really seemed to enjoy running up and down DP's arm, the kids all had a go at holding it. Needless to say, it didn't seem to like our 3 yo son very much. There was this whole apprehension going on that he would close his fist over it to "hold" it and I guess the insect picked up on that!

They love being held anbd crawling about the house. When I was due to have Spikee we had to Titans and they walked all over the computer table so much that I got to know their individual personalities, despite the fact they looked like identical twins I could tell them apart from the way they moved :lol

very cool - we had some really special ones in our garden a while back - I tried to get photos as one had these brilliant purple wings that totally tucked away when not in use (imagine me trying to provoke the bug into flying without it flying away - needless to say the photos came out badly!).

oh no :lol That's a shame! How big were they? Do they glide or fly? Stylish is trying to work out what sort it was.

that's one of them - but then there was another - I found pics but i can't resize them for on here because I am not patient enough :P
I don't think I got any of the purple ont he wings - maybe I made that bit up? I seem to recall trying and trying but never catching the bright bits.
