Aren't these snack bags (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6070468&section_id=5644860) a great idea? They don't look that hard to make either...

That's a really nice idea! They're perdy too.

I know a womyn who was pist about the takeaway rubbish she disposed of at lunchtime so she started taking her own lunch but the wrappings were still disposable so she takes her s/w wrapped in cloth now.

Lovely but at that price I'd make them myself!

do you think that it would be airtight and keep the food fresh?

I doubt it, they're made of cloth and velcro.

could you make the same type of set up with PUL? would it keep things fresh then?

If they are snack bags you are only presumably using them for an outing for the day so they don't need to keep things super duper fresh, I wouldn't keep wet things in them anyway ie cut fruit, more for things like nuts/dried fruit/crackers/breads etc

I'm not sure how practical they would be but they do look rather cute :D

Yeah, I think they would be ok for short term use for things like dried fruit and crackers and easy for little ones to open up too.

We had snack boxes and have just started making them up again. The bags wouldn't really work for us - too much spillage :( A flat bottomed box (have dreamed about bento boxes) with an easily broken seal works best for us.

What do people put in theirs?
