my ds is only 2 1/2 but he reads his books to me. He is also really good at letters and is always going on about what sounds a letter makes.
He's done all this on his own and I'm at a bit of a loss at what to do next to help him progress. we read all the time and i have alphabet books and the like, but i was wondering if anyone knew of any reading books/workbooks resource that might be good for him.
Riley is 13mths and he was "reading" to me the other day. The book was upside-down :lol but he was turning the pages, pointing and talking in his baby language. It was very cute :D

Just keep on with that? Kira learned letters and such through electronic means gah. Her grandma got her a "laptop" (not leapfrog but similar) and she found it in the cupboard where I was hiding it. She is now a computer child, does a lot of educational things on the computer, but I reckon just reading and alphabet books will get you by. Kira started with numbers and moved to letters after that, but yeah she was about 2.5 when she started playing with the laptop.

I'd just keep doing what you're doing as it seems to be working just fine! If you want to get some basic workbooks you can but it seems like his natural desire to learn is fine! My son learned to read without any specific input from me, but we do read a lot of books here.

I just mean like those activity books you can buy. There are more sophisticated ones for school age kids but you can get basic ones from officeworks, bookshops, supermarkets etc.
