My DS has been asking lots of questions about the human body, bones etc lately, so we got this book from the library.
"See inside the human body" - no author on the cover but it's published by The Five Mile Press.:):D:cool <-- contribtion from said child.

It is an excellent book - it has transparent pages so you can add layers of muscle, blood vessels, nerves etc on top of the skeleton.
Highly recommend this one!

Is the "model" male? Would love a book where the model is female, showing the female body as normal.

It has a non-gendered person (just missing the pelvic region as they go around body systems) and a page on reproduction which just shows a baby and a uterus.

I bought a great anatomy book too!

"The human body: a journey of discovery" 5 mile press again, interestingly.

I bought it for its pages on reproduction that show a toddler breastfeeding, no bottles, just a discussion on why breastfeeding is normal for infants. It's very good with detailed accurate scientific knowledge, each system outlined in its own section, often the cross sections are on children (girls!). My kids are loving it!
