Home made pizza

I think that home made pizza is one of the most consistently accepted foods by my breatharian. I usually make them on a flat bread base although if I'm really motivated I'll make a crust out of almond meal and eggs. Topping for him are mashed roast pumpkin, pasta sauce and cheese. I love mine with pumpkin, fetta, olives and rocket. I often make this after work if I can't really be bothered cooking and it is really yummy!

hmmmm yummm I love home made pizza...although we make our pizza bases with standard white flour so probably not as healthy as your almond meal ones :lol

I do pizza dough in the breadmaker using wholemeal flour...or I just use mountain bread when I am feeling lazy. Yum! I love feta and olives and roasted capsicum and fresh tomato and mushrooms and pumpkin. OH and pine nuts.

I luuuurve pumpkin on pizza. My local has a pumpkin, roast capsicum, fetta and cashew one which is to die for.

I am too lazy to roast the pumpkin :lol. I love it on pizza though. I always make the dough from scratch using wholemeal and honey instead of sugar for the yeast.

Our breadmaker does the dough too M it's so easy! I love home made pizza night. Or atleast I DID love it til I gave up carbs :bang

My favourite recipe for tomato topping on pizza is to open a tin of tomatoes, set it in a stainer over the sink and leave it for a whiile, the stir through some herbs from the garden. It makes a greaty easy healthy sauce, I sometimes save the juice to add to casseroles. Ihave some great toppings but I can't remember them, and

If you do it on flat bread it's still pretty low carb..

Ok these are more summery ones, but:

Avocado and tomato. brush dough with a mix of olive oil, garlic, and chilli. Top with fresh sliced tomatoes, and sprinkle with crumbled farmers cheese. As soon as it comes out of the oven top it with avocado slices that have been tossed in lime juice and mince fresh herbs (whatever takes your fancy, I like parsley)

Eggplant: on top of the sauce I describe above put mozzarella cheese and then slices of roast or grilled eggplant.

I'd like to take credit for these but they are from a fantastic vegetarian cookbook I have. There are more, I can put up later.

My x was into meat lovers with bbq sauce. One night we all ordered pizza, his mother and I got a vegetarian, he got the meat lovers (gross gross gross). He smoked too much dope and fell asleep before it came. Then when it arrived he sat up in bed ate 3/4 of it and went back to bed. In the morning he accused his vego mother and I of eating all his pizza :rofl NOT ON YOUR LIFE BABY!!! He'd eaten it in his sleep! He often talked and walked in his sleep, and that particular night he ate meat lovers pizza and slept :rofl
