Bubble Mixtures - always best if made in advance
Version 1
1 cup washing up liquid
2 cups water
2 tsp glycerine
Mix
Version 2
3 Tbs sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cups washing up liquid
Mix sugar and boiling water, stir until sugar dissolved. Add washing up liquid. Store for 3 days until using.
Home Made Bubble Blowers
-Wire or plastic twisty ties bent into req shape
-Blowers cut from the lids of plastic containers
-Cotton reels or other plastic tubes such as wool cones
-Plastic rings held with a spring clip peg
-Your fingers
Cornflour Gloop
This solution is fascinating to play with. It can be scooped up with the fingers as a moldable material, but flows like liquid back into the bowl. It will brush off clothing as dry powder.
2 cups cornflour
1 cup cold water
Pour cornflour into bowl. Add cold water slowly, stirring constantly and stop when the water is barely absorbed by the cornflour
Soap Flake Stuff
Foam
This has the consistency of shaving foam, can be coloured with paint powder and keeps well.
1-2 cups soap flakes (lux)
Hot water
Pour soap flakes into a bowl and add hot water until the soap flakes are completely covered and the water is just above their level in the bowl. Beat the mixture until the soap flakes dissolve and the mixture becomes soft and foamy.
Gel
This mixture is translucent and thick and keeps well
2 cups soap flakes
3 cups hot water
Pour soap flakes into a bowl and add hot water, mixing until soap flakes have dissolved. Leave for about an hour until the solution has set. Can be made ahead of time.
Slime
This play material will froth up if beaten, pours easily and is EXTREMELY slimy. Keeps well
1 cup soap flakes
4 cups hot water
Dissolve soap flakes in hot water in a large bowl or bucket. Add colour if desired and leave to stand for at least an hour.

I can add Sodium acetate:
mix bi-carb soda and vinegar.
it foams up like crazy and can be messy, but it's lots of fun.
add food colouring for interesting effects.
If you keep adding more vinegar and mixing it more and more, until it doesn't fizz any more, you have a solution of sodium acetate (aka the flavouring in salt and vinegar chips).
if you then heat it long enough to evaporate the water out, you get a powder that is pure sodium acetate.
if you then dissolve it in a little water, and heat it up, you get a super saturated solution of sodium acetate, which can then make Hot Ice
